In conversation with Ronak Shah Soneta, founder of WeHaveAVision, on building her own business, moving countries, and learning to balance entrepreneurship with motherhood.
When speaking with Ronak Shah Soneta, one quickly realises that her journey into entrepreneurship has been shaped less by big milestones and more by consistency, adaptability, and growing through different phases of life. Now at 32, she reflects on a journey that began at the age of 19 through employment with Dentsu Aegis Network.
Starting professionally in 2014, she worked across PR, branding, influencer marketing, and digital strategy, gradually building experience across fashion, beauty, hospitality, healthcare, and lifestyle sectors.
During our conversation, she recalls how entrepreneurship was never something she had aggressively planned from the beginning.
"I always enjoyed working with brands and understanding storytelling," she says. "But somewhere along the way, I realized I wanted to create something of my own as well."
That shift became clearer after her marriage in 2019, during a trip to Barcelona - a phase she describes as an important turning point. Encouraged by her husband, Chintan Soneta, she decided to start WeHaveAVision later that year.
What began with a single client in 2019 slowly grew over time, and today the company has worked with over 148 brands worldwide across fashion, beauty, hospitality, healthcare, luxury, and lifestyle industries. Some of the brands the agency has collaborated with include Paula's Choice, Pokémon, Dessange Paris, Charles & Keith, La Senza, The Earth Café, and Jindal Cocoa.
Ronak and Chintan later moved to London, where they spent four years before eventually returning to Mumbai. During this phase, Chintan worked in finance while she pursued her MSc in Digital Marketing from University of Westminster, graduating in 2023. It was also during this period that WeHaveAVision was officially registered in the UK.
Speaking about her master's degree, she shares that the experience gave her a stronger understanding of analytics, consumer behavior, AI-driven marketing, websites, podcasts, and digital strategy.
"It helped me understand how important it is to balance creativity with strategy," she explains. "You can have great ideas, but understanding audiences and digital behavior changes the way you approach campaigns."
Over time, WeHaveAVision also expanded into influencer marketing, UGC creation, creator-led campaigns, celebrity management, and luxury events. Today, the agency works with over 400 creators globally and has collaborated with personalities including Masoom Minawala, Anaita Shroff Adajania, Anissa Malhotra Jain, Aashna Shroff, Malvika Sitlani, and Malvika Raaj across India, the USA, UK, Dubai, and Australia.
The company has also worked on lifestyle and luxury events including the Kinjal Bhanushali Ganpati Celebrations, end-to-end management for Sonam Babani's wedding in Switzerland, and celebrations such as Malvika Raaj's baby shower.

But perhaps the most honest part of the conversation comes when she speaks about navigating entrepreneurship alongside.
"There's no proper maternity leave when you're running your own business," she says candidly. "But at the same time, entrepreneurship also gives you flexibility. You can decide when to slow down, when to pause, and when to reconnect with work."
She shares how, during postpartum life, even spending a short amount of time reviewing campaigns, signing invoices, overseeing work, or simply checking in with her team helped her maintain a sense of routine and mental balance during an emotionally transformative phase.
"Sometimes work became that one-hour distraction which actually helped me mentally reset before going back to my baby," she says. "I think over time you realise entrepreneurship and motherhood don't always have to compete with each other. You slowly learn your own balance."
Motherhood, she says, did not change her ambition, but it did change her perspective on pace, priorities, and self-expectations. It became less about doing everything perfectly and more about finding balance in a way that worked personally and professionally.
Today, she continues to lead WeHaveAVision from Mumbai alongside a young team of Millennials and Gen Z professionals, working with brands across India, the USA, UK, Dubai, Singapore, and beyond.
And while the business has steadily grown over the years, her approach towards entrepreneurship remains relatively simple - staying consistent, evolving with the industry, and building meaningful work over time.
"Entrepreneurship teaches you resilience, but motherhood teaches you perspective. Both change you in very different ways."
