India's spiritual ecosystem is one of the largest and most enduring community networks in the world. Temples are not merely places of worship; they are centres of culture, tradition, social engagement, and economic activity that impact millions of devotees every day. Yet, while faith has remained timeless, the operational infrastructure supporting these institutions has often remained fragmented, manual, and inefficient. SwaDharma is addressing this gap by building the digital infrastructure that enables India's spiritual economy to evolve, engage, and grow in a connected world.

In a recent interaction with Mid-Day, Mr. Amit Kumar, Chief Business Officer at SwaDharma, spoke about how the company is helping both temples and devotees through technology while preserving the sanctity and authenticity of traditional practices.

What began as a temple digitisation platform has evolved into a much larger vision: creating a unified Dharma Stack that enables temples to manage operations efficiently while helping devotees access authentic spiritual services and products directly from trusted religious institutions.

"India's faith ecosystem has always had immense scale and continuity, but the digital experience around it has remained fragmented," says Mr. Amit. "Our vision is not only to help temples become more efficient but also to create a trusted ecosystem where devotees of all age groups can effortlessly connect with authentic spiritual experiences." With this vision, the company is building a Dharma Stack that extends digitisation beyond temple administration.

SwaDharma is building a unified platform and engagement ecosystem that enables temples to directly offer their poojas, rituals, prasadam, religious products, pilgrimage services, and other spiritual offerings to devotees across the country. By eliminating intermediaries, devotees gain access to authentic, temple-authorised services, while temples create sustainable models to support their long-term growth and preservation.

At its core, SwaDharma believes that when temples prosper, the entire ecosystem around them prospers. Pujaris, artisans, local vendors, pilgrimage operators, service providers, and surrounding communities all benefit from stronger and more sustainable temple economies.

"We strongly believe that the growth of temples leads to the growth of society," says Mr. Amit. "Our role is to create the infrastructure that enables this sustainable growth while ensuring transparency, trust, and authenticity for both institutions and devotees."

Today, SwaDharma has partnered with over 100 temples and facilitated more than ₹1,100 crore in transaction value across its network. The company's recent transition from 3ioNetra to SwaDharma reflects this broader vision. According to Mr. Amit, the new identity better represents the company's mission of connecting technology, spirituality, culture, and community through a single integrated ecosystem.

As India's younger generations increasingly seek authentic spiritual experiences with the convenience of digital access, the emergence of FaithTech represents one of the country's most significant untapped opportunities. From digital devotee identities and AI-powered spiritual assistance to authenticated temple commerce and pilgrimage services, the sector is rapidly evolving into a new category of infrastructure.

Importantly, SwaDharma maintains that technology should never replace tradition. Instead, it should strengthen the institutions that preserve it.

"Technology should function as an enabler," says Mr. Amit. "It should allow temples to focus more on spirituality, community, and devotee experience while reducing operational complexity behind the scenes."

As conversations around spirituality, cultural identity, and digital infrastructure continue to gain momentum in India, SwaDharma is positioning itself at the intersection of all three, building not just technology for temples, but a trusted digital ecosystem that connects devotees directly with the heart of India's spiritual heritage.
