Standing atop Mount Kinabalu, the highest peak in Southeast Asia, is more than a physical achievement -- It is a deeply personal triumph shaped by resilience, courage and quiet determination. The journey upward is not merely a climb over granite trails and misty ridges, but a test of one's inner strength, patience and belief.
As the first light of dawn breaks across the horizon and the clouds part gently beneath your feet, there is a moment that feels almost timeless. Unfurling the Indian flag high above the peaks, watching it flutter against the vast sky and shouting "JaiHind " loudly and proudly, evokes a profound sense of patriotism and belonging. In that instant, you are not just an individual - you are a reflection of your roots, your culture and your unwavering spirit. It is a quiet yet powerful declaration: that no distance is too far and no dream too distant. Proud of every person and every Indian who has successfully reached the summit and extremely proud of my own self, being the only Indian on that day amongst 150-200 fellow climbers.
For homemakers and wives, this journey holds an even deeper meaning. Life often demands that their dreams be placed gently on hold, wrapped within the routines of care and responsibility. Yet standing on that summit is a proof that those dreams are never lost -- they simply wait patiently. It is a reminder that strength does not always announce itself loudly; sometimes, it grows silently in everyday acts of perseverance.
Climbing Mount Kinabalu becomes more than a personal milestone -- it becomes a message. A message that it is never too late to chase what sets your soul alight, that courage can coexist with responsibility and that identity is not confined to a single role. Every homemaker, every wife carries within her the power to rise, to explore and to achieve.
Because dreams, no matter how long they have rested, are always within reach -- waiting for the moment you decide to climb.
