The much-awaited Samay Raina's controversial comedy show India's Got Latent is set to finally return with its second season. After the first season, which streamed on YouTube and made headlines, the second instalment of the show is now set to debut on Netflix, but there's a catch.
The comedian, on Friday, announced that the second season of the show will stream on Netflix and YouTube as well. In the announcement video shared jointly by Netflix and Samay, the comedian, along with his friend Balraj Singh, revealed that the episodes of the second season will stream on Netflix and YouTube simultaneously without any difference in duration, censorship, or days.
After the immense popularity of season one, the fans of Samay Raina have been eagerly waiting for the next season. As per the video shared, the show is expected to be unfiltered and uncensored. The announcement left fans excited, with many calling the announcement crazy.
Content creator Ashish Chanchlani took a humorous dig at the announcement by recalling the controversy regarding the show's first season. Commenting below the post. Chanchlani requested the inclusion of a disclaimer from Samay to fight the upcoming probable legal battles easily. "Is baar disclaimer daal dena please case ladne mein easy hota hai (Please put disclaimer this time please. It helps in fighting cases)", Ashish wrote.
For those unversed, India's Got Latent landed in a massive controversy in February last year after Ranveer Allahbadia, Ashish Chanchlani, and Apoorva Mukhija appeared as panellists on the show. A remark by Allahbadia triggered widespread backlash for its insensitive and objectionable nature, following which FIRs were filed against Samay Raina, Ranveer and others involved.
Amid the controversy, Raina removed the show from YouTube. Allahbadia later issued a public apology. Meanwhile, Samay Raina made a strong comeback after more than a year away from the public eye with his latest comedy special titled Still Alive in April 2026.
Marking his debut stand-up special, Still Alive crossed 53.4 million views on YouTube. In the 1-hour and 21-minute-long show, he spoke candidly about the controversy, his personal struggles, his childhood and more. At the end of Still Alive, he officially announced that India's Got Latent 2 was on the cards.
