Bollywood's versatile actor Divya Dutta has the cutest baby girl named Pari, who entered her life as a foster child. Pari helped the Chhaava actor heal after losing her pet dog Sakhi, and eventually became a part of her family. On Mother's Day 2025, Divya exclusively speaks to Mid-day about her bond with Pari, and how she takes care of her canine, dealing with anxiety.

Given that Pari was under foster care, Divya says that coming from a different place, one tends to have certain baggage, but everything sorts out with love. She explains, "I did call animal counselors and they told me to talk to her and I think they listen. I pamper her a lot, and I think I know her likes and dislikes, and I make sure that they are catered to and she's looked after."

Divya, who is constantly working on multiple projects, says that she understands the nature of her profession and has therefore ensured that Pari never feels lonely. However, whenever Divya is at home, the two of them indulge in loads of quality time together. She avers, "Her funniest habit is that early morning seven o'clock, she wakes me up, sits on my stomach, and has to just cuddle me and and I love that about her."

Divya asserts that Pari considers her as her mama and is always following her like a baby everywhere, and even realises when she's off to work. The actor states, "Whenever I am shooting, she knows when the bags are packed and I always tell her that ‘I'll be back in so many days and the rest of the family's home,' and she understands that beautifully, and I think the happiness that she has when I come back, I make up for that."

Divya concludes by adding that Pari is a talking dog. "I know all dogs express, but this one literally, I feel she doesn't even need a language for it. She's so expressive. If she's hungry, she will talk with her eyes and she'll give me her paw and say, ‘Okay, come let's go.' I seem to understand everything that she's saying, and I love that rapport," she signs off.
