Rohman on buying diamonds for sushmita
Actress Sushmita Sen is known for her unfiltered personality, and the actress often grabs headlines for her unconventional choices. The diva was dating Rohman Shawl from 2018, however, they parted ways in 2021 as the age gap became a subject of discussion. Despite separation, they are spotted together on several occasions. In a recent interaction, Rohman opened up about Sushmita's choices and stated he can't afford a big diamond for her right now.
In an interview with Instant Bollywood, he said, "Jis hisab ke unko diamond pasand hai, abhi meri aukaat nahi itna bada kharidne ki. Toh jis din uss layak banunga, insha allah zaroor. (The kind of diamond she likes, I can not afford such a big one right now. So the day I become worthy of it, God willing, I definitely will)."
The actor also mentioned that Sushmita is fond of 22-carat-diamond. Rohman further said, "Unka ek pasandida diamond hai, woh 22 carats ka hai. Toh woh kamane ke liye bahot waqt hai, but inshallah jaldi. (She has a favourite diamond - it is 22 carats. It will take a lot of time to earn that much, but with God's will, soon)."
In an earlier interview, Rohman opened up about why is he often spotted with the actress. He said, "I only accompany her as a friend. I like spending time with her. If the relationship didn't have issues and if you have given so much to a relationship, then why would you run away from it? I am single right now, but because a big name of that stature has been associated with me, people think that I am still with her. So, nobody even approaches me (laughs). I totally believe in love and relationships. In fact, I like being in relationships that drive me."
Sushmita was last seen in Taali: Bajaungi Nahi, Bajwaungi (2023) a biographical drama series directed by Ravi Jadhav. She also headlined Aarya season 3. While Rohman made his acting debut with the Tamil movie - Amaran. The film also featured Sivakarthikeyan, Sai Pallavi, Rahul Bose, Bhuvan Arora and others in key roles.
