The anticipation around Nitesh Tiwari's magnum opus Ramayana: Part 1 is higher than ever as the makers are all set to give a glimpse into this much-talked-about world on July 3.

The team recently completed the shoot of Ramayana: Part 1. A video of the cast wrapping up the shoot and celebrating with a cake-cutting went viral on social media. Ranbir Kapoor, who plays the role of Ram in the film, was seen giving a speech to the crew as they ended the principal shoot of the ambitious Part 1. In a heartwarming moment, he was also seen hugging actor Ravi Dubey, who plays Lakshman in the film.
The film will feature a power-packed cast playing the pivotal roles of the Ramayana. Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi will essay the roles of Lord Ram and Sita. Sunny Deol will be seen as Hanuman, Ravi Dubey plays Lakshman, Lara Dutta takes on the role of Kaikeyi, Rakul Preet Singh will be seen as Shurpanakha, and Kajal Aggarwal plays Mandodari.
The first glimpse of Ramayana will be launched on July 3. According to reports, a 3-minute visual has been approved by the censor board and will be released digitally. The video will mark the beginning of the world of Ramayana created by Nitesh Tiwari.
The first look of Ramayana will be launched in nine major cities- Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune, and Kochi. Fans are now eagerly waiting for this day.
The makers are going all out with the scale of the film, promising to give audiences a never-seen-before experience of the Ramayana on the big screen. Reportedly, the film is being made on a massive budget of Rs 835 crores. The project is backed by Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios and Yash's Monster Mind Creations.
While the excitement around the film is immense, the wait will be a long one. Part 1 of Ramayana will release in October 2026, marking the Diwali festivities. The second part will be released during Diwali 2027.
The makers have also roped in the best of the best technicians to make this a landmark film. Recently, actor Yash was seen shooting his portions with legendary Hollywood stunt director Guy Norris - celebrated for Mad Max: Fury Road and The Suicide Squad. The film promises to be a landmark in filmmaking - a mythological epic powered by top-tier talent, a world-class VFX team, grand sets, and an ensemble cast that brings this story to life.
