Bollywood actor Aamir Khan is all set to tie the knot with his girlfriend, Gauri Spratt, on July 5. While the buzz around the 61-year-old actor's third marriage is high, he recently opened up about the ceremony, while also reacting to the news getting leaked.

Aamir Khan reacts to wedding details getting leaked

During an interview with Variety India, Aamir revealed that he and Gauri plan on having an intimate ceremony in the presence of close friends and family instead of grand celebrations. Elaborating on thier plans, Aamir said, "It will be very private. It's a very simple registered marriage, at home, with just both families and really close friends."

He further went on to describe this as a very happy phase in his life and even called Gauri a "blessing". The actor also reacted to the fan and media frenzy around his wedding, saying, "I don't see why (there's all the frenzy). There is too much interest in the lives of celebrities, especially cricketers and actors. People should be interested in our work, not our personal lives. I don't know how the information on my wedding had leaked. These days, nothing is off-bounds."

Interestingly, Aamir Khan and Gauri Spratt's story goes back more than two decades. The two first crossed paths around 25 years ago; however, they eventually lost contact. Years later, the two reconnected, and their friendship gradually evolved into romance.

The actor publicly announced their relationship in March 2025 during his 60th birthday celebration. During the event, he introduced Gauri to the media for the first time, and since then, the couple have made several public appearances together while largely keeping their personal life away from the spotlight.

Notably, this will be Aamir Khan's third marriage. He was earlier married to Reena Dutta from 1986 until they parted ways in 2002. They have two children together, Junaid Khan and Ira Khan. Aamir then married filmmaker Kiran Rao in 2005, with whom he has a son named Azad. The couple announced their separation in 2021. Meanwhile, it is Gauri's second marriage. She has a son from a previous relationship.
