Lage Raho Munnabhai actor Ashwin Mushran has finally broken his silence days after being accused of hitting a biker in Goa. A few days ago, a video surfaced online alleging that the actor was driving on the wrong side of the road. The actor has now shared a cryptic social media post seemingly to respond to the allegations indirectly, claiming he has facts that others don't. He also hinted at taking action against those sharing unverified information.
On Sunday, August 16, a Free Press Journal suggested that Ashwin Mushran had been accused of hitting a father-son duo riding on a bike while driving on the wrong side of the road in Margao, Goa. The collision resulted in the father being seriously injured, according to the report
A video of the alleged incident also surfaced online showing Mushran and his wife arguing with the locals at the spot of the accident. The couple can be allegedly seen blaming the biker for the collision.
After the incident, local leader Amol Kanekar, along with others, reportedly confronted the couple. Kanekar made several allegations about the incident while speaking to In Goa 24x7. He claimed that the biker sustained injuries in the collision, adding that a piece of the victim's bone was even lodged in the top-right tyre fender of Mushran's vehicle.
He further claimed that Mushran argued with locals and left the spot for a party instead of apologising to the injured family. Kanekar went on to claim that Mushran's wife also spat at him during the confrontation. After some time, Mushran reportedly returned to the spot and apologised.
Now, Mushran has shared a video on his Instagram handle, in which he simply appears in front of the camera without speaking or sharing a statement about the incident. However, he added text over the video that read, "When you have the facts and other people don't," suggesting at challenging what he believes are inaccurate claims about the incident.
In his caption, he cryptically reacted to the incident and the claims being circulated online. He wrote, "The absolute pleasure in seeing a reel about me being deleted. If you spew venom or post unverified information... Expect a response.... One by one."
On teh work front, Ashwin Mushran was most recently seen in Vir Das' comedy movie Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos, in which he played an instructor.
