Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan recently attended a close friend's wedding and a video of him taking the joota churai ceremony to the next level has gone viral. The young director got into an intense mood during the traditional ritual. He was seen guarding his friend's shoe like his life depended on it. A video from the celebrations shows Aryan fiercely guarding the groom's shoe, even nearly losing his balance, but refusing to give it up.
Event planners Zesst Events shared the clip on Instagram from the wedding of Rhea Nadkarni and Maahir Mehta. Mentioning that Maahir is Aryan's best friend, they wrote, "When the Groom's best friend is the BA''''S of Bollywood. Between sneaky steals, dramatic negotiations, and laughter echoing through every corner - this wasn't just joota churai, it was a total dhamaal." The text on the video read: "Joota churai turned into a full-blown mini war!"
In the video, Aryan is seen dressed casually in jeans, a T-shirt, and a brown jacket. He holds onto the groom's shoe tightly, moving around to keep it away from the bride's side. Despite repeated attempts by other guests to snatch it, Shah Rukh's son nearly falls but continues to protect it. In another moment, he is seen pulling and tussling with others, determined not to let go, before eventually running off with the shoe.
The clip soon went viral on social media with curious netizens reacting to it humorously. Some expressed that they initially thought that Aryan was involved in a real physical fight. Many others praised Aryan for his commitment to the playful "battle."
Aryan recently made his directorial debut with the Netflix series The Ba'''ds of Bollywood, where he served as director, writer, creator, and showrunner. The show featured actors like Bobby Deol, Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, Mona Singh, and Sahher Bambba in key roles. It also included cameo appearances by several big names such as his father Shah Rukh Khan along with actors Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, and many more. The series received positive feedback, though Aryan has not yet announced his next project.
