The Ba'''ds of Bollywood, Aryan Khan's directorial debut, is currently the most talked-about series. The series has aroused debate due to its gritty storyline, brilliant humor, and a climax that left viewers gasping. Perhaps the most surprising moment? The remake of the 1997 hit Duniya Haseeno Ka Mela, starring Mona Singh.

In The Ba'''ds of Bollywood, Aryan used creative VFX to morph Mona Singh's face into the original background dancer. As the renowned song played in the climactic sequence, long-time Bollywood fans noticed that it was initially performed by Bhanu Khan in the 1997 film Gupt.

In Gupt, the actress plays a gorgeous bartender who joins Bobby Deol on the dance floor at Duniya Haseeno Ka Mela. Bhanu, dressed in white, made a lasting impression on television.

Who is Bhanu Khan?

She was a star dancer who appeared alongside several big actors in popular songs in the 1990s. Aside from Duniya Haseeno Ka Mela, she has also performed in songs such as Tere Ishq Mein Naachenge from Aamir Khan and Karishma Kapoor's 1996 film Raja Hindustani, Gutur Gutur from Mithun Chakraborty's 1993 film Dalaal, Sanjay Dutt's Ram Kasam Mera Bada Naam Ho Gaya, and Sarhad's Doodh Ban Jaaoongi Malai Ban Jaaoongi. Many millennials recognise her visage, but few know her name - until now.

Mahru Shaikh was another dancer in that iconic performance, dressed in black. She eventually moved to television and portrayed Apoorva Agnihotri's character, Armaan Suri's mother, in Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin.
