After creating a stir on the internet with its teaser, which was dropped last week, the makers of Bandar have now unveiled its official trailer. The trailer of the film looks engaging and unconventional in its approach to entertainment. With Bobby Deol collaborating with director Anurag Kashyap for the very first time, the actor seems to have stepped into an unconventional role.
The trailer of Bandar dropped today, and in two and a half minutes, it does what most Hindi films take an entire first half to do: pull you in, knock you sideways, and refuse to tell you who to root for. While we see Bobby Deol attempting a very different role after his superhit streak with Animal and The Ba'''ds of Bollywood, he is absolutely killing it.
The trailer introduces him Bobby as Samar Mehra, a fading television superstar struggling with fame, loneliness, and a flirtatious public image. The story takes a dark turn after Samar connects with a woman, played by Sapna Pabbi, through a dating app. She later accuses him of rape, blackmail, and extortion.
While Samar insists he is innocent and describes the woman as a stalker, the trailer shows him being pulled into a legal battle against what appears to be a deeply corrupt system.
Within minutes of the trailer, the man we are laughing with becomes the man behind bars. The grin curdles. The applause stops. The cage closes.
The movie features an ensemble cast including Sanya Malhotra, Raj B Shetty, Sapna Pabbi, Saba Azad, Riddhi Sen, Jitendra Joshi, Indrajeet, and Nagesh Bhonsle. The screenplay has been written by Sudip Sharma and Abhishek Banerjee, known for acclaimed titles such as Paatal Lok, Kohrra, and Udta Punjab. It is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on June 5, 2026.
On the work front, the actor will next be seen in the YRF Spy Universe film Alpha, alongside Alia Bhatt and Sharvari. A hint of his presence was teased in War 2 post credit scene. He is also a part of the Amazon Prime Video spy thriller series Teen Kauwe, which also stars Sana Shaikh, Sidhant Gupta, and Ronit Roy. He will also be seen in Mohit Suri's romantic drama with Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda.
