However, after doing a little digging, netizens discovered that the video is actually old. As the video went viral, a user on X asked the AI bot Grok, "Is this video recent?" The bot responded, "No, the video isn't recent, it's from April 14, 2024, when Ranveer Singh (with Kriti Sanon) visited Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi," clearing the air.

For the unversed, Ranveer Singh and Kriti Sanon visited Varanasi's Kashi Vishwanath Temple in April 2024 to seek blessings. They were in the city as a part of a fashion event, as they also walked the ramp for designer Manish Malhotra at Namo Ghat to promote local Banarasi handlooms later.

Interestingly, Ranveer Singh is very much in Mumbai if his recent sightings are to be considered. The Dhurandhar star reportedly visited the Benne restaurant in Chowpatty, Mumbai, along with his wife and actor Deepika Padukone.
