Dhurandhar director Aditya Dhar reveals he has been reading all ‘peak detailing’ memes

Filmmaker Aditya Dhar has been in the limelight since the release of Dhurandhar in December 2025. The film created records at the box office, and now all eyes are on its sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, which will be released in theatres on March 19. Ahead of the film's release, Dhar celebrated his 42nd birthday on March 12. Naturally, the filmmaker was flooded with birthday wishes from fans, admirers and colleagues from the film industry.

The filmmaker, on his part, penned a note of gratitude thanking everyone for their love. In his note, he shared how he celebrated his birthday and also reacted to the viral ‘peak detailing' memes that took over social media after the release of Dhurandhar.

Dhar took to Instagram to share a lengthy note, expressing his gratitude and reflecting on the past year. "As I spend my birthday adding the final touches on Dhurandhar: The Revenge, I find myself pausing for a moment and looking back at the phenomenal year that has gone by. Sitting here today, I feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude - for the journey, for the team who has always walked beside me, and for the faith so many of you have shown in my work over the years," he wrote.

He further added, "Reading all your messages, tweets, stories and all the ‘peak detailing by Aditya Dhar' memes, my heart is full. I wish I could personally respond to each one of you, but please know how deeply I value all your love and encouragement. I truly feel blessed beyond belief. None of this is something I take for granted. In an industry where nothing is guaranteed and every film is a leap of faith, the trust of the audience means everything."

Dhurandhar re-releases in theatres globally

Jio Studios and B62 Studios are bringing the global blockbuster Dhurandhar back to the big screen in a rare theatrical re-release across approximately 500 screens worldwide. The film will return to 250 screens across India beginning March 12 and another 250 overseas beginning March 13.

For fans of the franchise, the re-release offers a thrilling opportunity to relive the phenomenon that redefined the spy-action genre and follow it up with the sequel just days later, experiencing the two chapters of the saga back-to-back on the big screen.

While re-releases of major films have occasionally been seen in India, international re-releases of Hindi films remain extremely rare, making this move a significant moment for the franchise and a testament to the immense global demand for Dhurandhar. In North America alone, the film will return to theatres across nearly 185 screens, signalling the extraordinary anticipation for the next chapter.
