Singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh has hinted at making an appearance on Koffee with Karan season 9, revealing that he has agreed to an interview that he describes as his only one this year. While the actor did not name the show, his comments have sparked speculation that he could reunite with host Karan Johar on the ninth and final season of the popular celebrity chat show.
Diljit shared the update during a recent Instagram Live session, where he promised fans a surprise. Explaining why he had accepted the offer, the singer said, "I have received an offer for an interview. I can do that one. They said it is their last show for this year. I mean, on this topic, I am supposed to do it. It is their last show, so I agreed to do it."
He further teased the upcoming appearance, adding, "So, you guys will get that surprise. I am only going to do one interview this year. Only that one this year." Although Diljit did not explicitly confirm that the interview was for Koffee with Karan, the reference to a final show for the year has fuelled speculation about his possible appearance on Johar's couch.
The singer previously appeared on the show's sixth season alongside rapper Badshah, making for an entertaining episode filled with candid conversations and humour. During his earlier appearance, Diljit spoke about his social media crush on reality television star Kylie Jenner, a moment that became one of the memorable talking points from the episode.
A potential appearance in the final season could offer another glimpse into the singer-actor's personal life and career, though the makers have yet to confirm his participation. Recently, Diljit Dosanjh was denied permission for a Delhi concert amid security concerns.
Meanwhile, the ninth season of Koffee with Karan continues with actors Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor set to feature in the third episode, alongside a surprise appearance by Arjun Kapoor.
In the promotional teaser, Varun and Janhvi revisit their past fallout with Karan. Varun jokingly confronts the filmmaker over giving him the silent treatment following their disagreement, admitting that he was hurt by the experience. Janhvi joins the conversation with a quip about gaining weight during the period.
Varun also compares Karan's dramatic reaction to Amitabh Bachchan's character Yashwardhan Raichand from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. The episode takes another turn when Arjun joins the conversation midway through.
The third episode of Koffee with Karan season 9 is scheduled to stream on October 28 at 7 pm on JioHotstar's The Peacock Hub, with new episodes arriving weekly.
