As Drishyam 3: The Conclusion continues its breakthrough run at the box office, the Ajay Devgn-starrer witnessed a significant drop in collections on day 4 which marked its first Monday. However, despite the dip following a blockbuster opening weekend, the final part of the franchise maintains a strong hold at the box office.
According to Sacnilk, Drishyam 3 earned Rs 21 crore nett in India from 16,254 shows on day 4. With that, the film's India nett collection has reached to Rs 197.50 crore, while its India gross stands at Rs 237 crore. Notably, the film opened with Rs 62 crore on Day 1, and added another Rs 53.50 crore on Day 2. This was followed by a Sunday collection of Rs 61 crore on Day 3.
The film's strong run continues overseas as well. It earned Rs 5 crore on Day 4, taking its overseas gross total to Rs 66 crore. As a result, Drishyam 3 has amassed Rs 303 crore worldwide, with an India gross of Rs 237 crore and overseas gross of Rs 66 crore.
The numbers put the film on track as it marches fast towards the Rs 200 crore India nett milestone. Following a record-breaking opening weekend, the crime thriller now has to sustain its momentum through the weekdays. The exhibitors also agreed that the film has been exceeding expectations when it comes to its box office numbers.
Drishyam 3 Hindi, titled Drishyam The Conclusion, takes the story of Vijay Salgaonkar forward. His attempts to protect his family once again draw him into a dangerous battle involving crime, evidence and the law. The third and final instalment retains the franchise's familiar mix of family drama and mystery, but this time also introduces a fresh conflict.
The film has Ajay Devgn reprise his role as Vijay Salgaonkar, while Shriya Saran returns as Nandini and Ishita Dutta as Anju. Tabu is also back as Meera Deshmukh. Meanwhile, Prakash Raj and Jaideep Ahlawat join the latest film in new roles. Rajat Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla and Kamlesh Sawant are also part of the ensemble cast.
