Tabu reacts to comparisons between Drishyam Hindi and Malayalam versions, Ajay Devgn says he wants Mohanlal to watch his film

Amid much anticipation and buzz, Drishyam: The Conclusion trailer was unveiled in Goa on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. The event witnessed the makers and cast come together to release the intriguing trailer. At the event, the cast opened up about the upcoming film, which marks the end of the franchise. Tabu addressed the comparisons between the Hindi and Malayalam versions of the film, while Ajay Devgn revealed why he wants Mohanlal to watch his upcoming film.

Tabu reacts to Drishyam Hindi being compared to Malayalam

Talking about the film, Tabu shared, "We are completely clouded; we did not know because it was just after the pandemic and the future of cinema was being discussed everywhere. Everybody was like, 'Nobody will see your film; the Malayalam version is out.' Then we all know how successful the second part was. So now people are like, 'Should we watch the Malayalam film or not?'"

She further added, "It doesn't matter if you watch it, because our film is completely different. So this is one thing: the anticipation and the excitement of people when Drishyam is about to release or even being made is something that I'll always treasure, apart from the intensity of this character and the range of emotions that I got to play."

Ajay Devgn wants Mohanlal to watch Drishyam The Conclusion

Meanwhile, while discussing the future of the franchise, Ajay Devgn confirmed that there will not be a fourth instalment since he feels that it is better to end the franchise on a high note. He further added, "In fact, I would like to say that this film is a big challenge for us because Lal (Mohanlal) Sir and Joseph (Jeetu). This was the first film, because the second was, in a way, inspired by the original. But this is a completely different script. So, their part 3 is are completely different. Our film is completely different. It's not like we made a few changes. It's completely different."

He added, "So, I want Lal Sir to see the film because we will get approval that, you know, they love this. It will make me very happy."
