Huma Qureshi is all set to mark another significant chapter in her career by becoming the only Indian actress to attend the upcoming 78th Emmy Awards in Los Angeles. After making a stunning appearance at Cannes earlier this year, Huma will be attending key Emmy events, starting on the 10th of September.
Huma Qureshi is set to attend Gold House's third annual One House Toast to the Emmys. Often regarded as one of the prominent gatherings at the awards, it celebrates multicultural talent in television. She will also attend the Motion Picture and Television Fund's (MPTF) 20th annual Evening Before pre-Emmy benefit at the Pacific Design Centre, among other events.
Huma's Emmy appearance comes after a year in which the actress has established herself into distinctly different spaces as an actor and producer. She recently made her debut as a producer with Baby Do Die Do, wherein she also played the film's central character, Baby Karmarkar.
Later, she was most recently seen stepping into an entirely different space with Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups, which was released theatrically on August 26. Helmed by Geetu Mohandas and headlined by Yash, the film had Huma play Elizabeth, a powerful antagonist.
From playing a deaf and mute assassin in Baby Do Die Do to the fierce Elizabeth in Toxic, Huma has proven herself once again with the varied roles in 2026.
Emmy Awards 2026 ceremony is set to take place in the US on September 14. For viewers in India, the event will be streamed during the early hours of September 15. The red carpet coverage begins at 4:30 am IST, followed by the main ceremony at 5:30 am IST.
The awards ceremony will be live-broadcast on JioHotstar on video-on-demand. This year, the awards will witness an interesting contest. The nominations announced earlier last month had HBO's medical drama The Pitt leading the pack with 25 nominations. Followed by Hacks, which received the most nominations by a comedy series in a single season with 24 nominations. Apple TV's Widow's Bay stood third with 19 nods.
