Govinda has made a cryptic remark amid the ongoing buzz surrounding his marriage to Sunita Ahuja. Speaking at a Dahi Handi celebration, the actor referred to "many things" being written in the sky and prayed that they would be cleared up. He also appealed to his fans for their support amid the ongoing speculation.
Speaking to the gathering, Govinda said, "Aur bahut si baatein aasmaan mein likh di gayi hain, main maayi se prarthna karta hoon ki woh clean-up ho aur Govinda use clean up kar paaye (And many things have been written in the sky. I pray to the Mother that they are cleaned up and that Govinda is able to clear them up)."
He did not elaborate on what he meant. Govinda also made an appeal to his fans, asking for support. "Aaplog ka sahyog chahiye, saath chahiye. Theek waise hi sahyog aur saath chahiye jaise yahan par dekhne ko milega (I need your support and companionship. I need the same support and togetherness that I have seen here)," he said.
Govinda then shifted the conversation to his return to films. He said he was coming back to the big screen with two projects, Roopa and Duniyadari. Govinda is reportedly in talks to join Rise And Fall season 2 as a contestant, potentially marking his reality TV debut. The actor has previously hosted and appeared on several reality shows.
Govinda and Sunita's divorce rumours have been doing the rounds since 2024. She has been quite vocal about his affairs and them living separately, while Govinda has never directly addressed the claims. Govinda grabbed the limelight after he was spotted with his rumoured girlfriend Rani Swarnkar to promote their film Roopa. Reacting to their public appearance, Sunita slammed them and called him a sugar daddy.
Amid all this, Sunita Ahuja was spotted at Bandra family court, with many speculating that they were heading for divorce. However, it was later revealed that she withdrew the petition as Govinda was planning to get married to Rani. Amid all the rumours and misleading reports surrounding actor and former MP Govinda on social media regarding his personal life, a public notice has been issued on his behalf, warning netizens, media institutions, digital platforms, and content creators.
