Papa's girl, forever

As Esha Deol stepped out to promote Pratap, the actor named her late father, Dharmendra, as her ideal husband. At the film's trailer launch, she spoke about the importance of standing by family through life's ups and downs. "Maine kareebi se sirf papa ko dekha hai as a father and husband, so I would say Dharamji," she said, adding that for Dharmendra and Hema Malini, supporting each other was crucial in their marriage.

A name close to her heart
Esha has adopted the name Esha Dharmendra Deol, adding her late father's name to her own. In an interview, she described the decision as deeply personal, saying she wanted to keep him with her in her life and everything she does. The change comes after her separation from businessman Bharat Takhtani, whom she married in 2012. The former couple announced their separation in February 2024.

Paps, no badge of honour

Ratna Pathak Shah

Ratna Pathak Shah has questioned the use of the term "paps" for photographers, urging them to demand greater respect for their profession. Speaking at the IFP Festival, she asked, "Kyoon aisa gandaa naam le rahe ho aap? Object kijiye na!" (Why are you accepting such a bad name? Object to it!). The actor suggested that photographers identify themselves as media persons, journalists, or photojournalists instead, arguing that these titles better reflect the dignity of their profession.

No room to roll

Uorfi Javed

Uorfi Javed has alleged that her housing society is preventing her from shooting content inside her home. Claiming the restrictions began after she approached the police over visitor rules, the actor said, "Meri society committee ne ek rule nikala hai naya mujhe pareshan karne ke liye - I can't shoot any content inside my own house!" She alleged that the committee members had asked her landlord to evict her and were checking visitors' bags for cameras and shooting equipment.
