For some Bollywood stars, Ganesh Chaturthi 2026 meant being home; for others, celebrating from afar. Kartik Aaryan, currently in the UK for the shoot of âCaptain India', marked the festival away from Mumbai, writing, "Miles away from home, but never away from Bappa!" Ananya Panday, meanwhile, rushed home in time to welcome Bappa with her family, sharing, "Back home just in time for my fave to come home." Sharvari returned to her ancestral home in Morgaon, Maharashtra, calling the festival "a full circle of coming home to love, warmth, family, positivity, and so many modaks". At Mannat, Shah Rukh Khan revealed, "Gauri [Khan] does the aarti and then the prayers," while family and friends gathered to celebrate.
Actor and former beauty queen Nafisa Ali Sodhi recently shared that she has been put on "targeted therapy" after a new scan revealed that her ovarian cancer has progressed to her liver. The 69-year-old actor, who has been open about her battle with cancer in her social media posts, shared the new health update from a hospital bed. "My treatment protocol has changed and now I have been put on targeted therapy, fighting the good fight. Thank you for always keeping my support energy strong."
Every film is a struggle, says director Tigmanshu Dhulia who believes that those in the industry who greenlight projects have "zero vision" and stop storytellers from exploring good work on screen. Tigmanshu said, "Every film is a struggle. If you want to say a story in a different way, this industry stops us from making good art. The people who greenlit projects here have zero vision. So, you are cursed. If you are making films in India, you will always be stopped from doing good work. You won't be allowed to do it," he told PTI.
