Katrina Kaif is reportedly preparing for a return to acting after embracing motherhood in 2025, and may be considering opportunities in the streaming space.According to reports, the actor has resumed reading scripts, and is evaluating projects ahead of a possible comeback in the second half of 2027. A source told India Today that Katrina is seeking "the right script and is open to exploring streaming projects." If finalised, the venture would mark Katrina's OTT debut after years of focusing exclusively on theatrical releases. On the work front, Katrina owns a cosmetic brand too.

Rajinikanth's much-anticipated Jailer 2 has reportedly been pushed back, with the makers opting for a month-long reshoot after being dissatisfied with the film's rough cut. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the sequel to the 2023 blockbuster is said to be reworking key action sequences to better align with the grounded, realistic tone that resonated with audiences in the first instalment. The additional shoot is expected to impact the release schedule, with the film now likely targeting a Diwali 2026 debut instead of the previously discussed September window.

If you missed madness on screen, there's good news. 11 year after they tickled our funny bone, Tanu and Manu are coming back. Eros has announced that the threequel, titled - The Next Chapter, will go on floors later this year. It will be helmed by Mitakshara Kumar, of Heeramandi fame. It's not certain yet if Kangana Ranaut and R Madhavan, who led the first two films, will return for the upcoming instalment. The production house is also looking to expand their existing slate of films, including Tere Naam (2003), Desi Boyz (2011), Sridevi's English Vinglish (2012), and Phobia (2016) by exploring character spin offs by exploring character spin offs and extending these worlds with newer stories in different formats.
