It looks like Honey Singh himself is now doing the Lungi Dance in joy.

The rapper's track Bring Me Back is competing for honours at the prestigious Europe Music Awards (EMA) which will be held on November 11 in Amsterdam. The EMA is a platform which recognises music from different genres and languages across the globe.

Honey Singh

Honey has won the first round for his English-Punjabi track and has emerged as the winner of the Best Indian act. The others in contention from India were A R Rahman for his song Nenjukkule from Mani Ratnam's film Kadal and Amit Trivedi for his track Maanjha from Kai Po Che.

A R Rahman

Says a source, "Honey Singh's song Bring Me Back won the best act ahead of A R Rahman's track. So he is in a jubilant mood. He is gearing up for the second round. He will compete with 37 other international artistes who have won the best acts from their countries.

The awards event will have Katy Perry do the opening act with performances by Bruno Mars, hip-hop legend Snoop Dogg and Dutch DJ/ producer Afrojack.

Among the other artistes competing for awards at the event include Justin Bieber (Canada), Avicii (Sweden) One Direction (UK) and Miley Cyrus (US).u00a0
