There was a war of words between Kangana Ranaut and Simran co-writer Apurva Asrani over the writing credits for the movie. Asrani slammed the makers for giving Kangana a co-writing credit. A week after the controversy, Vidya Balan took a dig at Kangy.
Vids posted a picture holding a credit card on her Instagram account and captioned it: "Who needs credit when your director gifts you this card?"
While Asrani laughed over the joke, Kangy responded to Vidya's dig, saying, "Ha ha, I read about that. Vidya is a dear friend and honestly, I am not a thin-skinned person when it comes to people taking digs or jibes at me."
