Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia believes thrillers will never go out of style: 'There is something timeless'

Many rue that OTT platforms are filled with dark thrillers and whodunits, pushing comedies and slice-of-life stories to the fringes. But Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia isn't complaining. The actor, who forayed into television with Choti Sarrdaarni, is excited to make her web series debut with Ab Hisaab Hoga, a mystery thriller. "The genre has always fascinated me, and to be a part of a mystery thriller felt [fulfilling]," she said of the Amazon MX Player show.

Ab Hisaab Hoga revolves around two brothers whose lives change after an incident. Ahluwalia noted that the intrigue and high-stakes drama of thrillers make them an easy favourite of viewers. She reasoned, "I feel thrillers will never go out of fashion because audiences love stories that keep them guessing and emotionally invested till the end. There is something timeless about suspense and mystery that always connects with people."
