Samay Raina and Medha Shankr have sparked fresh wedding rumours after an anonymous Reddit post claimed the two are planning to tie the knot in December. However, the comedian and actor have seemingly dismissed the speculation with humorous social media reactions.
On Sunday, Samay shared an Instagram story featuring a post that asked, "Samay Raina to marry Medha Shankr in December?" Taking the joke further, Samay wrote, "December mai toh mera India tour hai @medhashankr, sorry, will have to postpone."
Medha also reacted to the speculation by resharing Samay's Instagram story and adding laughing emojis. In another story, she shared a meme alongside the caption, "Me scrolling past all the baseless wedding rumours like." To note, before Medha, Samay was rumoured to be dating Sharon Verma.
The latest wedding rumours surrounding Samay Raina and Medha Shankr reportedly originated from an anonymous Reddit post that surfaced online a few days ago.
The Reddit user claimed, "I'm very close to Samay Raina's family, and after speaking to his mother yesterday, I can say that Samay Raina and Medha Shankr are planning to get married this December. For now, they're both enjoying their vacation, but Samay wants to marry Medha as soon as possible."
Comedian Samay Raina and actor Medha Shankr sparked dating rumours earlier this year after they were spotted together. She recently featured on an episode of India's Got Latent Season 2 on Netflix with Varun Dhawan, Nishant Tanwar and Sharon Verma. Amid rumours of them being in a relationship, Samay called Medha his âsabse accha dost' in the episode.
Amid the dating buzz, fans have noticed what they believe are hints suggesting that Samay may be holidaying with 12th Fail actress Medha Shankr in Switzerland. Some claimed similarities in their visuals and location, alleging that the two might be vacationing together.
For those unversed, India's Got Latent landed in a massive controversy in February last year after Ranveer Allahbadia, Ashish Chanchlani and Apoorva Mukhija appeared as panellists on the show. A remark by Allahbadia triggered widespread backlash for its insensitive and objectionable nature, following which FIRs were filed against Samay Raina, Ranveer and others involved. However, Samay made a strong comeback, and the second season is now streaming on YouTube as well.
