Palaash Muchhal at ashram; R- Palaash and Smriti
Music composer Palaash Muchhal has been in the news for his wedding with ace cricketer Smriti Mandhana. The two were set to tie the knot on November 23 in Sangli, but the ceremony was postponed at the last minute. The family stated that the sudden ill health of the bride's father led to the postponement. Amid this, Palaash was seen visiting spiritual leader Premanand Maharaj's ashram in Vrindavan.
Palaash was seen seated with other devotees at the popular Premanand Maharaj's ashram. He was wearing a mask as he listened to the Maharaj, who is also popular among cricketer Virat Kohli and actress Anushka Sharma. Palaash was accompanied by his mother.
Earlier this week, Palaash made his first public appearance as he got papped at the Mumbai airport. He was seen with his parents.
Palaash and Smriti's much-talked-about wedding was postponed on November 23 after the cricketer's father fell ill and had to be hospitalised. Palaash was also temporarily hospitalised upon returning to Mumbai, reportedly due to severe exhaustion. Matters escalated when Smriti and her family removed all wedding-related posts from their social media accounts.
Soon after, allegations surfaced online claiming that Palaash had cheated on Smriti a day before the wedding. While these accusations continue to circulate, there is no confirmation. Neither Palaash nor Smriti has commented on the matter.
Coming out in support of Palaash, his cousin Neeti Tak posted a message defending him, stating, "Palaash is going through a critical condition today. You all should not judge him without knowing the truth⦠Technology has come far ahead of humans, and people should not form opinions based on rumours. Pray for him."
On November 25, Palaash's sister and singer Palak Muchhal requested privacy, writing, "Due to Smriti's father's health, Smriti and Palash's wedding has been put on hold. We request you all to respect the privacy of both families during this sensitive time." Smriti and Palaash were originally set to marry on November 23.
