Prahaar and Eetha's teasers to be attached to Cocktail 2 release: Report

Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna's Cocktail 2 is all set to release on June 19. Continuing its trend of dropping hints about other projects with releases, Maddock Films may drop the teaser of Prahaar and Shraddha Kapoor's Eetha alongside Homi Adajania's film. The release dates of these films were announced a few days back.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, "In all probability, these two teasers will be shown with Cocktail 2, though the final call is yet to be taken. In the past, Maddock revealed the teaser of Bhool Chuk Maaf with Chhaava, the Shakti Shalini announcement asset with Thamma, and the Chhaava teaser with Stree 2, etc. Hence, it won't be a surprise if audiences are treated with the promos for Prahaar - The Ujjwal Nikam Story and Eetha alongside Cocktail 2."

"Both these upcoming films look promising. Rajkummar Rao is said to have done a stellar job as Ujjwal Nikam. Meanwhile, Shraddha Kapoor has essayed a powerful, author-backed role and will be seen in a never-before-seen avatar," an insider shared with the portal.

About Prahaar and Eetha

Producer Dinesh Vijan and actor Rajkummar Rao are joining forces once again for an ambitious new project, Prahaar - The Ujjwal Nikam Story. The upcoming film, inspired by events that shook the nation, is set to hit theatres on August 7, 2026. Directed by Avinash Arun, the film also stars Wamiqa Gabbi, Sikander Kher and Jaideep Ahlawat. The film is based on the life and career of Ujjwal Nikam, one of India's best-known special public prosecutors.

Meanwhile, Eetha will star Shraddha Kapoor in the role of Marathi Tamasha artist Vithabai Narayangaonkar. The movie will be helmed by Laxman Utekar, the Chhaava-fame director. It will feature Randeep Hooda and Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub. The release date has been locked for August 28, which happens to be the festival of Rakshabandhan as well. The story will span from the 1940s to the 1990s, from her rise to fame and the struggles she faced.

Talking about Cocktail 2, the romcom has been passed by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with an ‘A' certificate. Moreover, the film's runtime is said to be 150 minutes. In other words, Cocktail 2 is 2 hours and 30 minutes long.
