The videos and pictures of Celina from the evnet have been widely circulated on the internet. Sharing the clip, one user on the internet pointed out, "After Kriti senon, now Celina Jaitley celebrating Rakshabandhan in revealing clothes. Look at her attire for a Hindu festival, it is demeaning the culture and tradition. >Showing cleavage >No Bindi >Wearing sandles >No Sindoor >No bangles/Dhaga It looks like bollywood never learn (sic)."
Another X user shared, "When the controversy has already escalated so much, why does Bollywood keep making the same mistake again? Celebrating festivals is fine, but it's also important to respect the traditions and sentiments of Hindu festivals (sic)."

Kriti Sanon recently featured in a Raksha Bandhan commercial campaign for a jewellery brand. In the video, she was seen celebrating the festival wearing a deep-neck bralette blouse and cape. While many liked the contemporary ethnic look, others said that the outfit was culturally inappropriate for the Indian festival. Many incuding Kangana Ranaut expressed their disappointment over the clothing on social media.
Following the backlash, Kriti shared a note defending her outfit and the ad stating that a woman's neckline is not a measure of her cultural values. "When will we stop telling women what to wear??" Kriti wrote, pointing out that ethnic fashion has evolved over the years.
However, a day after Kriti's post, the jewellery brand issued a statement and announced that it was taking down the commercial.
