Actor Swara Bhasker recently posted a GRWM (Get Ready With Me) video on her social media accounts, addressing an issue that was pointed out to her after she shared glimpses of her Iftaar preparations with her in-laws. Swara, who married Fahad Ahmad three years ago, celebrates both Hindu and Muslim festivals with equal enthusiasm.
Earlier this week, Swara had shared a video of herself preparing fruit cream as part of her Iftaar contribution at home. The actor mentioned that it is one of the few dishes she knows how to make and that it was her small contribution to the family meal.
However, several social media users pointed out that she had used milkmaid from Nestle, a brand included in boycott calls by pro-Palestine groups.
Addressing the matter, Swara said it had slipped her mind. "I noticed that many of you pointed out that Nestlé is on the boycott list because of Palestine and their alleged Zionist connections, and that I was using Nestlé Milkmaid. To be honest, I didn't remember and it didn't strike me. I am a big advocate of BDS and I try very hard to practice it as much as I can, especially in the products I use. But I do struggle with some of them. Very recently, we switched Rahul's diapers from Pampers because I noticed that Pampers was also on the boycott list. So it is a process. I will say that I am still learning and I am trying. Thank you for pointing that out - I will try and be as careful as possible in the future."
Swara who completed three years of marital bliss with Fahad, called herself lucky to have found a partner like Fahad.
Marking the occasion, Swara shared a series of heartfelt pictures capturing moments from their wedding, celebrations and life together over the years.
The actress shared glimpses from their court marriage, where both Swara and Fahad are seen signing official documents as the family and friends cheer for them.
Another frame shows the couple sharing a warm hug as guests applaud around them. Another image captures their traditional wedding ceremony where Swara dressed as a bride in an intricately designed lehenga while Fahad is seen sitting beside her during the wedding reception. The couple is also seen wearing white flower garlands post their court wedding. Another photograph shows a candid moment from their cozy family moment with their baby. The carousel post also shows behind-the-scenes glimpses from their television reality show, and even a thrilling moment featuring Fahad with an iguana perched on his shoulder.
