The advance bookings for Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Yash, opened on October 20, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Dussehra. Within 24 hours, the much-awaited film has registered a solid start, with advance bookings worth over Rs 3 crore across India, 15 days prior to its theatrical release. Scroll down to look at the film's day 1 advance booking figures ahead of its November 5 release.
According to entertainment tracking portal Sacnilk, Ramayana has earned Rs 3.13 crore in advance bookings, excluding blocked seats. The film has already sold 86,187 tickets across 3,537 shows in 104 cities. It currently boasts an occupancy rate of 11%.
The Hindi version of Ramayana is currently leading the advance bookings, raking nearly 95% of its gross collection through 3,474 shows. The Kannada version has also shown early interest, contributing around Rs 25 lakh through 61 shows. Despite only a limited number of Kannada shows being available for advance booking so far, the makers seem to be benefiting from Yash's immense popularity in Karnataka.
Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar: The Revenge is one of the biggest box office successes of 2026. It earned Rs 7.8 crore on its inaugural day in the first 24 hours of advance bookings (not including reserved seats).
In comparison, Ramayana earned Rs 3.13 crore within the same period without any reserved seats. The numbers could alter as the release date draws near, since more shows are expected to open.
Helmed by Nitesh Tiwari and backed by Namit Malhotra, the historical epic Ramayana stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, and Sunny Deol as Hanuman. Sony Pictures Entertainment will handle global and international distribution, while Dharma Productions oversees the Hindi release. Regionally, Dil Raju's SVC Release will distribute the film in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, AVA Productions will handle distribution in Kerala, and co-producer Yash's Monster Mind Creations will overlook the South Indian and Kannada regions.
Ramayana Part 1 will release worldwide on November 5, 2026, followed by Part 2 in Diwali 2027.
