Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana has once again fallen victim to online leaks, with another purported clip from the film's trailer making its way onto social media ahead of its official release. Days after snippets from the trailer surfaced following the film's Pratham Sankalp event, a new video allegedly featuring the opening minute of the trailer has now gone viral, putting the spotlight firmly on Yash's portrayal of Ravana.
The latest clip, widely shared across X, appears to showcase Ravana's grand introduction as he embarks on a conquest of the three realms - Devlok, Paatal Lok and Prithvi Lok. One sequence featuring Airavat, the mythical white elephant associated with Lord Indra, has particularly caught fans' attention, with several social media users praising the scale of the visuals and visual effects.
One user wrote, "Look at the new leaked trailer of Ramayana where Ravana (Yash) is conquering Dev, Paatal and Prithvi Lok. That Airavat scene is really awesome. Hopefully they will release it soon in 4K." Another fan praised Yash's introduction, posting, "YashBOSS screen presence with that voice. Rich production values with that VFX. All set to introduce a Rs 400-crore first-day collection."
While the makers are yet to comment on the latest leak, the footage has quickly spread across social media, generating fresh excitement around the ambitious mythological epic. While the authenticity of every circulating video has not been independently verified, the footage has generated significant buzz ahead of the trailer's official worldwide release. Meanwhile, hours before the trailer scheduled unveiling, producer Namit Malhotra announced that the launch has been postponed. The decision comes after the makers joined hands with Sony Pictures Entertainment for the film's global release.
This isn't the first time visuals from Ramayana have surfaced online before their intended release. Earlier, alleged footage from the trailer emerged shortly after the film's grand Pratham Sankalp launch at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. During the event, the trailer was screened exclusively for guests, including the cast and media, while the official livestream was paused whenever the footage played, signalling the makers' efforts to avoid spoilers.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, Yash as Ravana and Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman. The film has been mounted as a two-part cinematic spectacle, with the first instalment slated for a Diwali 2026 release, followed by the second chapter in 2027.
Even before its official digital rollout, the repeated trailer leaks have only amplified curiosity around the film. With fans dissecting every frame shared online, anticipation continues to build for what is being billed as one of the most ambitious Indian films ever made.
