The makers of Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana have finally announced a new release date for its much-awaited trailer. Notably, the trailer of the Ranbir Kapoor and Yash-starrer was expected to be launched earlier on July 23, 2026. However, it was postponed at the last minute due to the nationwide student protests. Now, the makers have now announced that the trailer is set to drop on July 30, 2026.

Ramayana Part 1 trailer release date

Taking to Instagram, the makers shared the release date via a post that read, "At the auspicious Brahma Muhurat, we welcome the Dawn of Ramayana with our trailer on 30th July 2026, Thursday, at 4:15 am IST worldwide"

Notably, the trailer is now expected to release on the same day when Tom Holland and Zendaya's Spider-Man: Brand New Day hits the screens in India. Given Ramayana's recently announced association with Sony Pictures, which is also distributing the superhero flick, the trailer is likely to be attached to the latest Spider-Man film.

Namit Malhotra on Ramayana trailer being postponed

The trailer was earlier expected to be unveiled at the San Diego Comic Con 2026 in July 2023. However, merely hours before the release, Ramayana producer Namit Malhotra shared a statement, postponing the release. The statement read, "Today is a very special moment for our Ramayana. My dream of taking Ramayana to the world is now a reality with our partnership with Sony Pictures Entertainment. In light of the above, we will be launching our trailer globally at a later date."

"In over 100 years of Indian cinema, this will become a moment of great pride, where Ramayana will be shown to the entire world like any major global Hollywood film. This is special as it opens the door for people around the world to discover the richness of our culture and our stories with renewed pride and enthusiasm," he added.

He concluded the note saying, "I thank all the fans and believers of Ramayana for helping make this happen. The youth of our country are our future. Let's all do our best to protect that future."
