Salman Khan is expanding his digital presence with the launch of his official YouTube channel. The Bollywood superstar announced the move on October 9, sharing a video in which he recites the alphabet to hint at the variety of content viewers can expect.
Announcing the channel on his Instagram Story, Salman wrote, "Let's start from the beginning... my official YouTube channel. You'll find everything here, from A to Z."
The announcement quickly caught the attention of his followers, with the channel reportedly crossing 14,000 subscribers within an hour of its launch. The profile describes Salman as a "Film actor. Artist. Painter. Humanitarian" and confirms that it is his official account.
The channel has already begun offering viewers a glimpse of what is in store, with 10 Shorts uploaded at launch. The initial videos showcase a lighter side of the actor, while the alphabet-themed announcement suggests that the platform could feature a mix of content spanning his personal interests and professional life.
Salman's YouTube debut also places him among Bollywood celebrities who have built digital audiences outside their film careers. Stars such as Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Nora Fatehi, Jacqueline Fernandez, Varun Dhawan, Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Farah Khan have used the platform to share everything from lifestyle videos and travel diaries to glimpses of their work.
Several South Indian actors, including Allu Arjun and Mohanlal, also have official channels, while television personalities such as Dipika Kakar, Shoaib Ibrahim, Jannat Zubair and Anushka Sen have cultivated audiences through vlogs and everyday content.
Away from his digital debut, Salman continues to balance his television and film commitments. He is currently hosting Bigg Boss 20, marking his 15th season as the face of the reality show. On the big screen, the actor will next appear in Maatrubhumi, previously titled Battle of Galwan. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the film also stars Chitrangda Singh. A revised release date is awaited following a delay.
Salman is also set to headline filmmaker Vamshi Paidipally's upcoming project, titled Monster. The film, which features Nayanthara, is scheduled for a theatrical release on Eid 2027. With his new YouTube channel, Salman is opening another avenue to reach his audience while continuing his work across films and television.
