In his recently released blockbuster film, Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan mentioned Alia Bhatt's name in one of the key sequences. The scene shot inside a metro train was loved by the audience who demanded their reunion after Dear Zindagi (2016). The wish has been fulfilled.
Shah Rukh and Alia reunited for an ad film. Her husband, actor Ranbir Kapoor is also a part of the commercial. The brand issued the short teaser on Instagram on Thursday. The trio was dressed in black. The Jawan theme-inspired track in the ad film was, "RK ka hai wonder, Alia hai showstopper, (Brand Name) ka King Khan hai just like thunder." The caption was taken from Shah Rukh's film, Om Shanti Om. It read, "Picture abhi baki hai."
Shah Rukh's Jawan, co-starring Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Sunil Grover, Ridhi Dogra and others broke records with its theatrical release. The makers recently announced a special offer after the film touched the 1000-crore mark. With the Buy-One-Get-One-Free offer, Jawan's collection remained on the higher side.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#Jawan remains an UNSTOPPABLE FORCE⦠Also, the Buy-1-Get-1 free ticket offer [Thu to Sat] should boost its biz⦠[Week 3] Fri 7.10 cr, Sat 11.50 cr, Sun 13.90 cr, Mon 4.90 cr, Tue 4.40 cr, Wed 4.45 cr. Total: â¹ 519.69 cr."
Shah Rukh collaborated with Alia on Dear Zindagi. They co-produced the actress' first film as a producer, Darlings, in August 2022. The superstars are yet to do a full-fledged film together after the Gauri Shinde directorial.
Ranbir and Shah Rukh shared the screen space in Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. The latter had a cameo role in the romantic drama which was crucial to the story and narrative. In 2022, Shah Rukh made a special appearance as Vanar Astra in Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra Part One: Shiva. The fantasy film was headlined by Ranbir and Alia along with Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy. However, they didn't have any scenes together.
Workwise, Shah Rukh will be next seen in Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki whereas Ranbir will be headlining Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal. Both are releasing in theatres in December. Alia announced her second production venture, Jigra, which will be starring her in the lead. Vasan Bala is the director and Karan Johar's Dharma Productions is co-producing with the actress' Eternal Sunshine Productions.
