Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani took to their Instagram handle to share their adorable daughter's name with the world. The duo shared a cute post with the little one's feet covered in woollen knitted socks. Recreating the picture from their pregnancy announcement, the duo penned in the caption, "From our prayers, to our arms, our divine blessing, our princess Saraayah Malhotra"

Karan Johar reacted to the post, showering blessings to the duo and little munchkin, "My love and blessings always", with multiple heart emojis. Fans were quick enough to react to the happy news. A user wrote, 'Such a beautiful Name "SARAAYAH MALHOTRA"', and another one added, 'Sending all the love and blessings to our little princess.'

Meaning of Saraayah

The couple did not divulge how they chose Saraayah's name, but numerous sources say it was influenced by the Hebrew word Sarah, which means princess.

On July 15, Sidharth and Kiara announced the birth of their baby girl on Instagram, stating, "Our hearts are full and our world has forever altered. We were blessed with a baby girl. "Kiara and Sidharth." Soon after, they asked photographers to stop taking images of their newborn.

The couple shared a second note which read, "We're so grateful for all the love and wishes; our hearts are truly full. As we take our first steps into this new journey of parenthood, we hope to enjoy it intimately as a family. It would mean a lot to us if this special time could stay private. So, no photos please, only blessings. Thank you for your support. Love, Kiara and Sidharth."

The couple married in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, in 2023, having previously worked together on the 2021 war drama Shershaah.

On the work front

Kiara recently appeared in War 2, a spy action thriller starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR. Ayan Mukerji directed the picture, which received mixed reviews from reviewers and audiences. She will be seen next in the Don remake, alongside Ranveer Singh.

Sidharth was most recently spotted in Param Sundari. Tushar Jalota directed the film, which was produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films. It was released in theaters on August 29 and starred Janhvi Kapoor. His next project is a horror film featuring Tamannaah Bhatia.
