Sunita Ahuja, wife of actor Govinda, recently found herself answering a rather cheeky question about Bollywood's leading men. During a rapid-fire segment on Why Not with MNL Season 3, she was asked to pick between Shah Rukh Khan, Shahid Kapoor and Harshvardhan Rane for a hypothetical one-night stand. Without much hesitation, Sunita chose Shah Rukh, making it clear that her admiration for the superstar remains unwavering.
When presented with the question, Sunita immediately named Shah Rukh as her choice. "You ask anything, my first priority will be Shah Rukh Khan only," she said, turning the playful hypothetical into another public declaration of her fondness for the superstar. The comment has since drawn attention because of her longstanding admiration for the actor.
Sunita's liking for Shah Rukh is not new. In an earlier conversation with Instant Bollywood, she spoke about her understanding of love and possessiveness, using Shah Rukh's character from Darr as an example of the kind of intense romance she relates to. "I love like⦠you remember how Shah Rukh Khan loved in Darr, like that madness for love," she said. She went on to describe herself as possessive about her husband and children, adding that, for her, some level of possessiveness is part of love.
Beyond her comments about Shah Rukh, Sunita has also spoken about her 38-year marriage to Govinda and the choices she made after tying the knot. She revealed that she did not pursue acting because her mother encouraged her to focus on marriage and family instead. Recalling her mother's advice, Sunita said she was asked what she would gain by becoming an actress when she could get married and have children. She followed that path and has since remained closely associated with her family life.
In recent years, Sunita has increasingly appeared in television and reality-show conversations, where her candid and outspoken personality has attracted attention. Her personal life has also frequently been discussed amid reports and speculation surrounding her marriage to Govinda. She was also part of Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa, which brought her into the spotlight in a different avatar in front of the fans.
