Actor Tiger Shroff was attacked on Sunday, October 18, 2026 while returning after a football match in Juhu. The actor narrowly escaped after his car was shot multiple times by gunmen. As per the latest development, the actor was saved from being shot at point-blank range during the firing as the weapon used by one of the attackers jammed mid-attack.
According to reports, forensic findings suggest that the attackers used a country-made pistol, known as a 'copy piece', during the attack. They allegedly fired seven rounds at Shroff's vehicle, of which five struck the car while two missed.
As per a Times Now report, one of the shooters tried to fire at the actor from point-blank range following the initial rounds of firing. However, his pistol reportedly jammed, preventing the weapon from firing. After firing the fifth shot, the accused, positioned near the passenger-side window, where Tiger was seated, approached the vehicle and attempted to shoot at the actor from close range. However, the weapon malfunctioned.
The shooter is beleived to have tried to fire twice, but the weapon failed to discharge. The suspected jamming of the pistol may have potentially prevented the actor from being shot at point-blank range.
Following the attack, two shooters fled on a motorcycle allegedly kept ready by a third accomplice, according to sources. The actor sustanied minor injuries from gunpowder and shards of glass.
The firing at Tiger Shroff took place around 7 pm on Sunday in Juhu when Shroff was leaving a ground. A large crowd had gathered to catch a glimpse of the actor. The attackers allegedly opened fire at his BMW sedan when his car exited the gate, and targeted the car's front windshield and a side window.
While Shroff managed to escape unhurt, his driver, identified as Firdaus, sustained a gunshot wound to his left hand. The actor rushed him to Nanavati Hospital, where he was admitted.
A social media post purportedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for the attack, alleging that Tiger had ignored warnings. They even threatened members of the film industry who continued to work with Salman.
