Over two decades after Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Darr hit theatres, the cult thriller has been rebooted as a five-part mini series with a contemporary touch - a take on cyber stalking. Y Films, a division of Yash Raj Films, released the teaser yesterday on their YouTube channel. Darr 2.0 is directed by Vikas Chandra, a Sundance Screenwriters Lab Fellow and Associate Creative Producer on YRF's Detective Byomkesh Bakshy. Nikhil Taneja has written the story and also the screenplay and dialogues along with Shubham Yogi.

Ashish Patil, vice president, Y Films, says, "I can't reveal the star cast now, but expect two of the three lead characters to be heavy-hitters. So far, no one has tried their hand at making a serious thriller series in the digital space in India and the theme is relevant."
