Ravi Kishan's internet popularity appears to have reached a point where even his wife, Preeti Shukla, has a solution - keep him indoors! The actor-politician has recently become a social media favourite, with clips of his energetic dance performances, singing act Kotheshwaray, vow of silence moments and candid interviews frequently going viral.

Ravi Kishan's wife reacts to his memes

Amid the unexpected wave of online attention, Kishan recently shared his wife's hilarious take on his newfound viral memes. Appearing on News18 India, the actor revealed that Preeti his wife jokingly suggested locking him inside a room so he would stop making headlines online.

Recalling the conversation, Kishan said his wife told him, "You go viral whenever you step out of the house," before jokingly telling their children to lock him inside a room. She said, "Let's just lock him in this room. That way, he won't step out and he won't go viral."

The joke also reminded Kishan of another time when Preeti believed he needed to be kept away from the outside world during his stint on Bigg Boss.

The actor has previously recalled how his career was at an overwhelming high when his wife pushed him to participate in the reality show. "That's when my wife took me to Bigg Boss and locked me up there. She thought I was going crazy. At that time, I had too much money. I used to work in three shifts in those days. I was working in 17 films at the same time. I would sleep in my car and only sleep when I was travelling from one set to another. At one point, I was shooting for five films in the same studio," he said.

Kishan admitted that the success and money had begun affecting his personality. He felt he was becoming arrogant, prompting Preeti to send him to Bigg Boss, which he jokingly described as her way of "locking" him up for three months.

Gen Z made Ravi Kishan viral

Kishan now finds himself on the opposite side of that experience, with Gen Z turning his public appearances into viral internet moments. Speaking to PTI about the response to his recent ‘Vow of silence', he admitted that the younger generation had left him "speechless".

He praised Gen Z for embracing his style, words and personality with creativity, saying their affection had reached an unprecedented level. He also encouraged young people to take an interest in the country's political future.

The actor-politician, who has been married to Preeti since 1993, has four children, daughters Riva, Ishita and Tanishka, and son Saksham.

On the work front, Kishan was recently seen in Dhamaal 4 and is gearing up for Mirzapur: The Movie, slated to release in September. His upcoming projects also include Khosla Ka Ghosla 2, while he continues to juggle his acting career with his political responsibilities as Gorakhpur's Lok Sabha MP.
