Yash brought Ravana-inspired grandeur to the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of Nitesh Tiwari's much-awaited Ramayana: Rise of a Legend. The actor, who essays the king of Lanka in the ambitious epic, stood out with a custom gold brooch featuring Ravana's ten heads, adding a unique mythological twist to his subtle all-black look.
Yash arrived at the David Geffen Theatre at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in a sharply tailored black outfit, letting his striking statement accessory take centre stage. Pinned to his jacket, the intricate gold brooch featured elaborate detailing and delicate dangling chains. The KFG star completed his look with dark-tinted sunglasses, gold hoop earrings and his signature beard, blending contemporary red-carpet style and the essence of ancient mythology.
In Hindu mythology, Ravana's ten heads or Dashamukha, hold deep significance. They reflect his vast knowledge of the four vedas and six Vedangas, while also representing the pride and passion that led to his downfall. By pinning the motif to his gold brooch lapel, Yash highlights the complexity of the character, moving beyond the image of a conventional villain to evoke a powerful scholar-warrior whose intellect was matched by his fatal flaws.
Yash was also accompanied by his actor-wife, Radhika Pandit, who looked stunning in an elegant green saree. For the big event, the entire cast was dressed in traditional attire. Ranbir wore a cream bandhgala coat, while Sai Pallavi stole the spotlight in a gorgeous pink saree with a golden border.
The first part of Ramayana will hit theatres worldwide on November 5, 2026, in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios in collaboration with 8-time Oscar-winning DNEG and Yash's Monster Mind Creations, Ramayana is envisioned as a two-part epic. The film will release in IMAX, with Sony Pictures distributing it globally, excluding India, while Dharma Productions will distribute the film in the Hindi-speaking market.
