Appearing on a television show, Sheen said some of his sex partners threatened to expose his HIV status unless he paid them huge amounts of money. But lawyers, who represent the partners, say that the settlements were all kosher and legal.

Sheen had allegedly paid upwards of $10 million to make sure that his HIV positive status was not made public. The payment was carried out in installments over years, suggest reports.

However, now he has flatly said that he will not pay them anymore and the lawyers have said that they will go after

him with a vengeance since their clients did not know that they were having sex with someone who had HIV - some of them claim that they had unprotected sex.

What's more, under the settlements, if Sheen misses an instalment, the entire sum becomes due immediately, according to the lawyers.

The former Two And A Half Men star was reportedly diagnosed with the disease four years ago and decided to keep it to himself, confiding in only a few close friends.

He was being threatened with lawsuits from the partners who say they were not told about his diagnosis when they were with him.

An entertainment website reported that in the wake of his revelation, Sheen plans to sell two of his three Beverly Hills mansions - a Spanish-style villa he bought in 2012 for USD 4.8 million, as well as a mock-Mediterranean he bought for USD 7 million in 2011, where his ex-wife Denise Richards was living until recently.
