Hollywood actress Denise Richards and Aaron Phypers have filed for divorce after six years of marriage on July 7. Their relationship ended on an ugly note, with Richards and Phypers hurling accusations at each other. As per the latest update, Denise Richards has filed an emergency court motion accusing her estranged husband, Aaron Phypers, of stealing her laptop and sharing her private nude photographs.
According to emergency court documents filed on July 29, 2025, Denise Richards has alleged that Aaron Phypers stole her laptop and shared nude photos that were stored on it. Her legal team has requested the court to order him to return the stolen property and prevent any further distribution. The filing further states that Phypers has disregarded the court order by holding on to the device and continuing to share the content.
Richards previously secured a temporary restraining order against Phypers on July 17. The order required him to return her laptop and any data taken from her phone.
The Wild Things actress and the entrepreneur tied the knot in 2018. Aaron is now seeking to end their marriage, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their split. According to TMZ, Aaron requested that the court grant him spousal support as he is financially unstable at present. The couple do not share a child together. As per a Page Six report, Phypers had previously begun the process of adopting Richards' youngest daughter, Eloise Joni, whom she adopted in 2011 as a single mother. Richards is also the mother of two adult daughters: Sami (21) and Lola (20) from her previous marriage to actor Charlie Sheen.
On July 17, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills actress requested restraining orders against Aaron Phypers, accusing him of assault and domestic violence. According to the court documents obtained by Us Weekly, the Wild Things actress revealed, "Throughout our relationship, Aaron would frequently violently choke me, violently squeeze my head with both hands, tightly squeeze my arms, violently slap me in my face and head, and aggressively slam my head into the bathroom towel rack."
After these allegations, Phypers accused Richards of having an affair with her Special Forces: World's Toughest Test instructor Rudy Reyes. He also claimed she is addicted to the painkiller Vicodin.
