Joe Jonas has shared a rare and heartfelt update about co-parenting with his ex-wife Sophie Turner, nearly two years after the former couple finalized their divorce. The singer opened up about their parenting journey during a recent episode of the Hey Jonas! podcast, revealing that despite the challenges of separation, he remains grateful for the support system they have built around their daughters.
Joe, who shares daughters Willa and Delphine with Turner, spoke candidly about navigating life as a single father. Reflecting on parenthood, he said, "I'm a single dad and I co-parent with my children's mother," adding that his daughters have "given me purpose again" and helped him find meaning during difficult moments.
The Jonas Brothers singer admitted that raising children after a divorce is not always easy, but he appreciates having a reliable co-parent by his side. "There's a lot of people in my situation that are single parents and go through this, and I'm grateful that I have a co-parent that I can balance even the bad days," he shared. He further noted that having supportive people around him has made the journey more manageable.
Joe also became emotional while discussing the impact his daughters have had on his life. According to the singer, their love and affection often help him through his toughest days. He explained that even a simple hug from them can make a world of difference and remind him of what truly matters.
Joe and Sophie married in 2019 before announcing their separation in 2023. Their split was followed by a highly publicized custody dispute, which was eventually resolved through a shared parenting agreement. The divorce was finalized in September 2024, and both have since emphasized the importance of putting their children first.
In recent months, Joe has continued to praise Turner's role as a mother. He previously described their arrangement as a "beautiful co-parenting relationship" and expressed gratitude for having an "incredible mom" helping raise their daughters. Their latest comments suggest that the former couple has successfully moved forward, focusing on creating a positive environment for their children despite the end of their marriage.
