Spider-Man fans in India have a reason to celebrate. Sony Pictures Entertainment India has announced that Spider-Man: Brand New Day will now release in Indian cinemas a day earlier than its previously scheduled release date.
The announcement was made on social media alongside confirmation that advance ticket sales will go live on June 17. The film will be available across premium large-format screens and is expected to be one of the biggest theatrical releases of 2026.

The release-date update comes amid growing excitement surrounding the Tom Holland-starrer, which marks the actor's return as Peter Parker nearly five years after Spider-Man: No Way Home became a global blockbuster. The film has already generated significant buzz online, with its trailer reportedly becoming the first movie trailer to cross one billion views worldwide.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day release date

Fans have been eagerly awaiting updates about Brand New Day ever since the project was announced. It will release on July 30 in India. The latest film picks up four years after the events of No Way Home, where Peter Parker made the life-changing decision to erase himself from the memories of everyone he loved.

Now living alone in New York, Peter has fully embraced his role as Spider-Man. However, balancing life as a full-time superhero begins to take a toll as he faces new challenges and a mysterious threat unlike anything he has encountered before.

The trailer offered a glimpse into this new chapter of Peter's life, teasing a darker and more mature story for the beloved Marvel character.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, Spider-Man: Brand New Day sees Tom Holland reprise his role as the friendly neighbourhood superhero. The film also stars Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal and Sadie Sink in key roles.
The movie is expected to explore Peter's life after the emotional ending of No Way Home while introducing fresh conflicts and villains into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Sony Pictures Entertainment India will release Spider-Man: Brand New Day in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. The film will be available in both 2D and 3D formats across cinemas nationwide from July 30.
