BTS on Michael Jackson tribute album
The reunion of BTS members after their military services have left fans jumping with joy. Everyone is now eagerly waiting for their comeback album which will release next year. Amid this, a report from The Irish Sun stated that the group has been working on recording a new song, written by none other than the King of Pop himself, Michael Jackson. However, their agency has not rubbished the claim and clearly stated how there is no truth to such reports.
In an update on BTS' agency BIGHIT MUSIC's official X account, a notice was shared in Korean and English, addressing the reports. They denied participation in Jackson's tribute album and stated they have not visited the studio in Irelan. The note read, "Hello! This is BIGHIT MUSIC. We would like to address recent media reports concerning BTS' alleged participation in a Michael Jackson tribute album. BTS has neither visited Grouse Lodge Studio in Ireland nor taken part in any recording sessions at the location for the mentioned project."
It further mentioned how the group continues to take appropriate measures and expresses gratitude towards fans for relentless support. "The group is not involved in the tribute album in any capacity. We are continuing to take appropriate measures to prevent the spread of inaccurate information. We express our sincere gratitude to fans for continuously showing support for BTS. We remain fully committed to supporting the artists and their endeavours. Thank you."
As per reports, it was stated that the songs were written in 2006 with some of the best names in town. It was meant for release as the icon's next album. These tracks have been in the archives for close to 2 decades. Penned in a converted cow shed at Grouse Lodge, Ireland, the songs were meant to be his next major comeback, but they never got to see the light of day.
Talking about BTS comeback, Jimin and J-hope had expresses how they are nervous. While, it is be expected that the group will release their new album in the third month of the next year as spring lasts from March to May. This new album would be their first in almost five years.
