The more, the merrier seems to be the mantra when it comes to Yash's next, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups. Geetu Mohandas's directorial venture already features four leading ladies - Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, and Tara Sutaria. Now, it has been learnt that Kannada actor Rukmini Vasanth, who shot to fame with Sapta Sagaradaache Ello (2023), is also part of the period gangster film.

Even as Toxic is primarily focused on Yash's character who becomes a don in the Goan drug cartel, the women are said to have powerful roles, with each influencing the protagonist's journey. A source reveals, "Rukmini is not a last-minute addition to the cast. The script always had five female characters. Her involvement was deliberately kept under wraps by the makers as her role brings about a twist in the story. She shot most of her portions earlier this year in Mumbai. Now, she has only a few days of work left."

Playing out between the 1950s and 1970s, Toxic sees Nayanthara as Yash's sister who plays an integral role in his rise to power, while Qureshi is one of the
antagonists. Advani and Sutaria are said to play the hero's love interest. The source adds, "Rukmini has a dramatic and action-oriented role."
