Samantha Ruth Prabhu
Actress and producer Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been a part of the film industry for over 15 years. She has worked in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi cinema over the years and is now looking forward to a new phase in her career. The actress recently said that she has decided to reduce her workload and only take up projects that resonate with her.
In an interview with Grazia India, Samantha admitted that not everything she has done so far had her heart in it. But going forward, she will be doing only the things she truly wants to. "I've reached a point where I do things I'm extremely passionate about, and that includes both fitness and films. I've been a part of several films and series, but not all of them were passion projects. But now, every single thing I do, every business I invest in, every film that I produce, all have my heart."
The actress said that she now chooses to prioritise her physical and mental health, and for this, she will not be juggling multiple projects at the same time. "I no longer shoot five films at a time. One thing I've realised is that I need to listen to my body, so I've reduced the amount of work I do. But now everything I do and put my energy into matters so much more. Nothing is for the heck of it. The quantity may have reduced, but the quality of projects has definitely increased," she said.
The actress turned producer this year with the Telugu film Subham, a satirical drama. The film was backed under her home banner Tralala Moving Pictures. She also had a cameo appearance in the film.
Meanwhile, in a full-fledged role, she was last seen in the Prime Video series Citadel: Honey Bunny, alongside Varun Dhawan. It is the Indian spin-off of the American television series Citadel on Amazon Prime Video, which starred Priyanka Chopra in the lead role. Packed with adrenaline-pumping action sequences and emotional drama, cinema enthusiasts appreciated the chemistry between Samantha and Varun as they navigated a world of espionage, betrayal, and danger.
She will reunite with Raj and DK for Rakt Bramhand, a fantasy action series with Ali Fazal and Wamiqa Gabbi. Apart from this, Samantha will star in Bangaram, a film she announced on her birthday earlier this year.
