Jason Sanjay says Dulquer Salmaan was the first choice for his directorial debut Sigma

Jason Sanjay, who is gearing up for the release of his directorial debut, Sigma, has recently revealed his first choice for the film. He shared that he initially approached Dulquer Salmaan to play the lead role in his directorial debut, Sigma. However, the actor's scheduling issues led to him not being a part of the film.

Jason Sanjay says Dulquer Salmaan was his first choice

During a recent interview with a Tamil YouTube channel, FilterCopy Enga Area, Jason recalled that he met Dulquer in Chennai and narrated the story of Sigma to him. He shared, "First, I narrated my Sigma story to Dulquer Salmaan sir, when he was in Chennai. I got the opportunity to meet him, and at that time, I wasn't sure whether he knew me or whether he would have dates available to shoot the film."

Jason also expressed his admiration for Dulquer's work, adding that the two discussed the film for nearly two hours.

He added, "I really like his films and admire his choice of scripts. I narrated the story to him for almost two hours. After that, we had a great conversation, and he gave me a lot of valuable feedback. He was interested in doing the film, but unfortunately, he didn't have the dates at that time."

Although Dulquer could not join the upcoming project, Jason stated that he hopes to work with him in the future. "I'm confident that I will work with him in the future," he said.
