Toxic duo Yash and Kiara Advani in Tabaahi song
As the anticipation around Yash's Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-ups continues to build, the first song, Tabaahi, from the film was recently dropped by the makers. The song is a romantic track featuring Yash and Kiara Advani in a steamy avatar performing intense, intimate scenes. The track was released on July 8, building the hype ahead of its August release. While many fans on the internet have praised the visuals of the song, a section of social media users expressed dissatisfaction over the chemistry between the leading pair in the track.
The song was released on July 8 by the makers, including Yash. Launching the song on social media, Yash wrote, "Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, There is a field. I'll meet you there. - Rumi. Tabaahi Out nowâ¦," followed by the links to the songs in different languages.
Tabaahi is set against a grand cinematic backdrop, introducing the audience to the visually rich world of Toxic. The video shows Yash and Kiara in a series of passionate romantic scenes, with emotionally charged performances. The song also includes electrifying guitar sounds and an orchestral score, giving it a destructive feel.
Reacting to the song, one user wrote, "A Cheap Copy Of Kabir Singh's Bekhayali", while another wrote, "What a disaster after KGF. Toxic is written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas and directed by Geetu Mohandas. The multi-starrer features Yash in the lead alongside Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria.
Earlier, when its first teaser was released, many criticised the film for certain scenes, calling them "grossly obscene, sexually explicit." After multiple delays, Yash's film is slated for release on August 26.
